Thanks to a generous grant from Conrad Hilton Foundation, Destination Hope has the critical resources it needs to best assist our guests move from homelessness to being housed.
The Shower of Hope received a $100,000 grant from LA2050 last summer after placing first in the LA2050 Challenge. The money has been used to operate two additional locations for one year.
Back in January 2021, Mel as well as our Shower Manager Maribel Villenueva, had the opportunity to be interviewed by Kelly Clarkson.

LACCD awards End Homelessness California for providing housing and services for students through Hope Housing.
Back in August 2020, End Homelessness California DBA the Shower of Hope launched Hope Housing for Students, a program to help end youth homelessness in LA and beyond.
The Los Angeles Rams in partnership with Ram Trucks honored Mel Tillekeratne, Executive Director & Co-Founder of End Homelessness California, in their initiative called Shining 11.
