Why Showers
We all know that homelessness is at extreme crisis levels in Los Angeles. With over 45,000 people unhoused in the City of Los Angeles and over 75,000 people unhoused in the County of Los Angeles it is difficult to say that there is a solution in the future let alone what an Angeleno can do about it.
We as an Organization specifically wanted to provide showers because we saw how homelessness robbed our brothers and sisters of their dignity and created ceilings when it came to them accessing services, employment, and housing. We may not be solving homelessness but we are giving our brothers and sisters on the street not just critical hygiene services but a chance at feeling clean, a chance at feeling confident, and a chance at being seen like any other Angeleno.
Until the day comes that no Angeleno has to sleep on our streets, we will be out there making sure that our homeless brothers and sisters are treated with dignity and respect and also seen as the beautiful human beings they are.
How We Make It Happen
We are not the only group or organization trying to make a difference. So many Angelenos, whether in groups or by themselves, strive to improve the lives of our homeless brothers and sisters.
We have learned by partnering with other like-minded groups and organizations, together we can establish a hub of resources that not only provide the basic needs but also help create pathways out of homelessness for our most vulnerable Angelenos.
